Jeddah has a different visual character to Riyadh: coastal light, older fabric, and a hospitality and cultural sector that briefs more like the Emirates than like the capital.
We take commissions across the city for architecture, hospitality and cultural work, and travel from either studio depending on the crew the production needs.
The coast changes the shooting plan. Humidity and haze soften long lenses through most of the day, which pushes exterior work toward the ends of the day more sharply than inland sites do.
Jeddah is the base for work across the western region: Taif in the highlands, Yanbu and the Red Sea coast, and the corridor toward Makkah and Madinah. Coastal and mountain locations in the same week is common here, and the two need different plans for light and lens.
