Cultural work is commissioned to last. A campaign image is used for a season; an institutional record is referenced for decades, and the standards are different.
We have documented public art and cultural programming including Noor Riyadh, the Tuwaiq Sculpture programme, Desert X AlUla and DesignSpace AlUla, and produced the first comprehensive architectural photography of the Kaaba for the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
Installation and exhibition documentation is its own discipline. The work has to be represented accurately for the archive, legibly for press, and in context for the audience, and those are rarely the same frame.
Where the subject carries religious or heritage weight, restraint is the brief. The measure is whether the institution would be comfortable with the record in fifty years.
