Animation & VFX

We treat animation as a language rather than a technique. It lets an idea take a shape live action cannot reach, which is why we use it for films and campaigns both.

Who this is for

Producers and cultural bodies commissioning animated narrative work.

Brands and agencies needing animation or motion as part of a campaign.

Practices and developers needing complex ideas explained visually.

How we approach it

Technique follows the story. Frame-by-frame hand animation, 3D and motion graphics are each right for different problems, and expensive when chosen for the wrong one.

We keep direction and production together, so the look established in development survives contact with the schedule.

Animated film

Children of Barzagh was animated frame by frame to merge handcrafted animation with cinematic storytelling. It premiered at the Red Sea International Film Festival, where it received the Special Mention Award, and has since won First Prize for Fictional Film at the Central Illinois Film Festival and continued through an international festival circuit.

That project is the clearest statement of how we approach animation: the method was chosen because the subject demanded it, and the production was built around sustaining it.

What we produce

Hand-drawn animation

Frame-by-frame work where the texture of the hand is part of the point.

3D animation

Dimensional work for product, architecture and title sequences.

Motion graphics

Typography, diagrams and data given movement and clarity.

VFX & compositing

Clean-up, extension and effects work on live action.

Title & identity motion

Moving identity systems and title design.

Explainer & process

Complex propositions made legible in short form.
